Recent advances on the treatment of IgA nephropathy

IgA nephropathy(IgAN) is one of the most common primary glomerulonephritis.Few therapeutic options are currently available and the effectiveness is rather limited due to a lack of etiologic treatment.In recent years, many studies have focused upon the important signaling pathways and key molecules in the pathogenesis of IgAN.New drugs with benefits for IgAN have been developed and some show preliminary clinical promises.Based upon the pathogenesis of IgAN, this review summarized the latest agents for IgAN at home and abroad, aiming to provide more reference for the treatment of IgAN.
