Recent advances of complement in kidney disease

As an important component of innate immunity,complement system is widely distributed in humor and cell membrane. Participating in the pathogenesis of many diseases,activated complements cause pathological kidney injuries through pro-inflammatory responses,regulation of renal tubular epithelial cell apoptosis and necrosis. Targeted intervention of complement-relating renal lesions shall contribute to the treatment of kidney disease and improve the prognosis of patients.
