Abstract
As a common primary glomerular disease,IgA nephropathy (IgAN) is also one of major causes of end-stage renal disease. And 25% to 30% of any cohort developed kidney failure within 20 to 25 years of presentation.IgAN is characterized by a deposition of glycosylated IgA1 immune complexes in glomerular mesangial area and a cascade of inflammatory reactions leading to renal injury.Numerous studies have demonstrated a close relationship between Janus kinase (JAK)/signal transducers or activators of transcription (STAT) signal pathway and the pathogenesis, progression and pathogenic genes of IgAN.Blocking this signal pathway may contribute to potential treatment of IgAN.This review examined the relationship between JAK/STAT signal pathway and IgA nephropathy in recent years.
