Abstract
Objective To explore the correlation between mean platelet volume(MPV) and glomerular filtration rate(eGFR) in patients with early diabetic nephropathy,in order to lay basis for prevention and treatment of early diabetic kidney disease(DKD).Methods A total of 327 patients with type 2 diabetes who hospitalized in the First Hospital of Baoding from January 2016 to January 2019 were selected as the subjects. They were divided into 2 groups according to the urinary microalbumin/creatinine ratio(ACR):the normal albumin group(NA group,n=237)(ACR<30 mg/g),microalbuminuria group(MIA group,n=90)(ACR 31~300 mg/g),and 90 healthy adults who conducted physical examinations in our hospital in the same period were selected to be control group. The following indices were detected:platelet count(PLT),mean platelet volume(MPV),platelet distribution width(PDW),fasting pasma glucose(FPG),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),uric acid(UA),hyper-sensitive -C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),serum creatinine(Cr),and eGRF.SPSS21.0 statistical software was adopted to conduct t test and variance analysis.Pearson correlation analysis was used, and multi-variate Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors. Results The levels of MPV in the NA group and MIA group were much higher than those in control group(P<0.05),and the MPV level in the MIA group was significantly higher than that in the NA group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).MPV was positively correlated with HbA1c,TC,TG,SUA,SCr,ACR and hs-CRP(P<0.05).MPV was negatively correlated with eFGR and HDL-C levels(P< 0.05).Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that HbA1c,MPV and ACR were independent risk factors for early diabetic kidney disease in patients with T2DM(P< 0.05).Conclusions MPV is negatively correlated with eGFR in diabetic patients, and may be taken as an early diagnosing biomarker of early diabetic kidney disease.
