    • Podocytes are extremely important for maintaining the stability of the glomerular filtration barrier,which can lead to glomerular filtration dysfunction and associated kidney disease.Epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)is a manifestation of podocyte injury and one of the initiating factors of various glomerular diseases.This article focuses on the definition,specific manifestations,inducing factors,mechanisms of occurrence and related glomerular diseases of the podocyte EMT and its prevention and treatment,in order to clarify the recent research progress of podocyte EMT,and provide reference for the treatment of related kidney diseases.
