How to prevent the infection of the novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV) in pediatric blood purification center

    • Since December 2019, outbreaks of new coronavirus(2019-nCoV) infection have continued to occur in 34 provincial municipalities in China. The population is generally susceptible to 2019-nCoV, and children and infants have confirmed cases in succession, and it is reported that newborns can also be infected. Children undergoing chronic dialysis are at high risk of infection. And they go back and forth to the blood purification center many times a week, which can easily become a weak link in the prevention and control of 2019-nCoV infection. It has been reported that critical 2019-nCoV infection patients need blood purification technology support. To prevent the occurrence and transmission of 2019-nCoV infection in children's blood purification centers, according to the recommendations of the Group of Nephrology, Society of Pediatrics, Chinese Medical Association on the prevention and control of 2019-nCoV infections in children's blood purification centers, combined with the clinical characteristics of 2019-nCoV infections in children, it is recommended that infection prevention and control measures in different situations are provided for reference of pediatric blood purification medical staff.
