Research progress of peritoneal dialysis for treatment of acute kidney injury

Acute kidney injury(AKI)is an extremely hazardous clinical syndrome characterized by rapid decline of renal function, with high morbidity and mortality. Renal replacement therapy(RRT) including in vitro blood purification and peritoneal dialysis(PD) is an effective method for the treatment of AKI. The application of peritoneal dialysis in AKI is often overlooked. The article reviews the research progress of peritoneal dialysis for treatment of acute kidney injury.
