Abstract
Diabetes is a metabolic disease that affects most of the world's population. Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is the main complication of diabetes mellitus and the main cause of end-stage renal diseases. At present, the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy is not completely clear. Studies have shown that NF-kappa B plays an important role in the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy. Studying various natural and synthetic inhibitors of NF-kappa B is helpful to the treatment and management of DN. This article reviews the role of NF-kappa B in the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy and the research progress.
