Research advances in relationship of neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio and platelet/lymphocyte ratio with chronic kidney diseases

    • In recent years,neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet/lymphocyte ratio (PLR) have been the hot spot of study of inflammatory markers, and they have higher stability than other white blood cells.Studies have found that PLR and NLR are widely used in chronic kidney disease (CKD),and are actively involved in inflammatory reaction, anemia, cardiovascular complications, renal anemia, etc. They affect development, progression and prognosis of CKD,and relate to studies of hypertensive renal injury, diabetic renal injury and lupus nephritis. In this paper, study advances of the role of PLR and NLR in CKD will be reviewed,so as to provide evidence for use of PLR and NLR for prediction of CKD and related complications, and provide new thoughts and reference for carrying out further studies on the role of PLR and NLR in pathogenesis of CKD.
