Abstract:
As one of the microvascular complications caused by diabetes mellitus, diabetic kidney disease(DKD) is a major cause for shorter life expectancy of diabetes mellitus(DM) patients. It has been known that the pathogenesis of DKD is correlated with an accumulation of extracellular matrix, oxidative stress, inflammatory response and autophagy. And miRNA remains quite stable and it may be detected in human fluids. As a promising biomarker for kidneys,it has provided supplements for testing indicators of kidney disease.A better understanding the regulatory role of miRNAs in the pathogenesis of DKD shall be vital in the diagnosis and treatment of DKD.This review focused upon the correlation between miRNAs and the pathogenesis of DKD.
