Abstract: A rising incidence of chronic kidney disease(CKD) has become a global social burden.Due to the lack of effective treatment,patients with end-stage chronic kidney disease have routinely received lifelong renal replacement therapy.Stem cell is recognized as a promising strategy of preventing the development of CKD with unique capability of multidirectional differentiation.Here recent advances in stem cell therapy for renal disease were summarized.
