Abstract: As a monoclonal antibody targeting CD20 on the surface of B lymphocytes,rituximab causes the dissolution of B cells through immune action.Plasma cells lack CD20 antigen.Rituximab is both effective and safe for lupus nephritis,ANCA-associated vasculitis,refractory minimal change nephropathy,focal segmental glomerulosclerosis and membranous nephropathy,but not for IgA nephropathy.This review summarized the applications of rituximab in the treatment of renal diseases.
