环状RNA与肾脏纤维化的研究进展

    Research advances of circular RNA and renal fibrosis

    • 摘要: 慢性肾脏病(chronic kidney disease,CKD)对人体健康构成严重危害,患病率高。CKD主要特征是肾脏正常的细胞被细胞外基质(extracellular matrix,ECM)取代,而CKD的结局是肾小球硬化和肾小管间质纤维化。目前,纤维化有关的机制较少,缺乏有效的治疗。近来研究发现,存在于肾脏外泌体中有一种环状RNA(circular RNA,circRNA),其参与各种肾脏疾病的病理过程,与肾脏纤维化发生、发展密切相关。circRNA参与细胞死亡、侵袭、转移、上皮间充质转化等多种生物学过程,可作为肾脏病诊断的新型标志物及治疗靶点。本文将针对应用circRNA在肾脏纤维化治疗中的作用及展望进行综述。

       

      Abstract: As a serious threat to human health with a high prevalence, chronic kidney disease(CKD) is characterized by a gradual replacement of normal kidney cells by extracellular matrix(ECM). It results in glomerulosclerosis and tubulointerstitial fibrosis. The mechanisms involved in renal fibrosis have remained poorly elucidated and no effective treatment is available. Recent studies have demonstrated that circular RNA(circRNA) exists in renal exosomes and participates in the pathological process of various renal diseases. Closely correlated with the occurrence and development of renal fibrosis, circRNA is involved in cell death, invasion, metastasis, epithelial mesenchymal transition(EMT) and other biological processes. It may be employed as a novel marker for diagnosing and treating renal diseased. This review summarized the roles and prospects of circRNA in renal fibrosis.
