Abstract:
In recent years, the incidence of diabetic nephropathy has been increasing. With the development of the disease,it may eventually lead to renal failure,so it is particularly important to achieve renal protection while lowering blood glucose.Sodium-glucose co-transporeer 2(SGLT-2)inhibitors are a novel hypoglycemic drug, which has protective effect on the kidney of diabetic patients. In this paper, the action mechanism of SGLT-2 inhibitors was briefly described, and some studies on the effect of SGLT-2 inhibitors on renal function in recent years were reviewed. At the same time, some basic studies on the possible etiology of chronic kidney disease(CKD)were summarized, which is purposed to provide a new research idea for the treatment of chronic kidney disease with SGLT-2 inhibitors.
