Abstract: This paper discussed limitation of setup of ultrafiltration for maintenance hemodialysis patients guided by a body composition monitor, by analyzing the possible error in measurement of overhydration by the body composition monitor, the causes, and consistency between the water load values obtained by the body composition monitor and the inter-dialysis body weight gains of maintenance hemodialysis patients who reach the dry weigh.
