Abstract:
Objective To explore the clinical effects of glucocorticoid combined with Buyang Huanwu Decoction in mild and moderate systemic lupus erythematosus.
Methods Between July 2013 to September 2016, 71 cases diagnosed as having systemic lupus erythematosus were enrolled in this study and randomized into two groups:glucocorticoid group and combination group. All patients were followed up for at least 12 weeks. The outcome indexes included SLEDAI score, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C reaction protein (CRP), complement 3 (C3) and C4, and positive rate of anti dsDNA and AnuA. All parameters were statistically analyzed by SPSS 21.0.
Results At the last follow-up time, there was no significant difference in all parameters and general data between two groups. Before treatment, there was no significant difference in SLEDA1, EST, CRP, C3 and C4 (
P>0.05). At the last follow-up, there was significant difference between groups at SLEDAI, ESR, CRP, C3, C4 and positive rate of anti dsDNA and AnuA (
P<0.05).
Conclusions Glucocorticoid combined with Buyang Huanwu Decoction can improve clinical effects and clinical symptoms on mild and moderate systemic lupus erythematosus.
